Blues festival at Knus

On Saturday 28 February and Sunday 1 March you can enjoy a delicious all-in lunch from 11:30 to 14:00, accompanied by fantastic blues artists. During this blues lunch all drinks are included, as well as soup, a variety of filled rolls, a croquette sandwich and a live blues set. The price for this package is €29.50 per adult.

From 14:30 to 16:30 there's an all-in blues drinks session. Specialty beer, wine and soft drinks are included, along with tasty snacks and a live performance. The drinks cost €27.50 per adult.

Saturday 12:00 – 13:30 – Kars van Nus
International Soul & Blues:

Kars van Nus brings the allure of Memphis to the stage. With the experience of B.B. King's Blues Club in his fingers, he weaves authentic roots music seamlessly with a modern heartbeat. Whether he opts for an understated soundscape or raw festival intensity: Kars always hits the core. A masterful solo act for those who choose unmistakable craft and atmosphere.

Saturday 14:45 – 16:15 – Neon V
Though Neon5 is still a young band, each of the five musicians brings a well-stocked backpack of playing experience. That experience comes through immediately: in the groove, the dynamics and above all in the natural chemistry on stage. Neon5 doesn't sound like a band still searching, but like a line-up that knows exactly where it's heading: tight, energetic and with a clearly distinct sound.

Inspired by artists such as Gary Clark Jr, Doyle Bramhall II and Joe Bonamassa, Neon5 forge a sound in which blues, soul and rock blend seamlessly. Expect soulful vocals, raw fuzz-drenched guitars, a tight rhythm section and keys that give the whole colour and depth. Everything is in balance yet full of emotion — music with tension and nerve.

Neon5 serves up steaming, soulful blues rock with a sharp edge. Music that comes straight from the heart and is hurled unfiltered into the crowd. With Pascal Vermeulen (vocals & guitar), Brian von Krieghenberg (bass), Erwin van Rossum (keys), Mischa Tuinenburg (guitar) and Harmen van den Berg (drums) you've got a band with a guaranteed intensity, experience and groove. Sunday 12:00 – 13:30 – Mister Moan

Just his voice and a guitar. It's that simple. Just as blues is.

Mississippi blues, Hill Country blues, influences from greats such as Johnny Shines and J.B. Lenoir, and from blues shouters, while at the same time weaving in the person he is. Sometimes he turns pop and rock tracks into blues, works Arabic and Celtic influences into his songs and gives folk songs a bluesy character. But it must always — and without question — be immediately recognisable as BLUES.

Mister Moan – won the Dutch Blues Challenge 2025. The 65-year-old musician from Schijndel convinced jury and audience with his authentic, raw style and personal performance. That puts him in a select group of blues artists representing the Netherlands next year at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, the cradle of the blues.

 
Sunday 14:45 – 16:15 – Luther's
Live performing band Luther's is a fresh new roots band from Leiden, giving new energy to blues and soul-related music. They play authentic Chicago and delta blues covers — think Muddy Waters, Buddy Guy, Eric Clapton — alongside their own inspired work and forays into surf, reggae and rock and roll.

Frontman, guitarist, vocalist and namesake of the band is Lothar Wijnvoord. Lothar had music baked in from an early age: in the household he grew up in, the blues held a prominent place. By the age of eleven he was learning his first guitar chords from his father, who taught him to play along to records and DVDs.

Alongside some surprising personal takes on songs by their heroes, the lads bring plenty of original material with influences from psychedelic music and seventies southern rock. They're also hard at work capturing it on a debut album; stay tuned!
